Thurs 26th – Happy Aussie Day

Up early’ish and hit the Ocean Dive to check out some sculptures on the cliff’s, there’s a festival once a year but there’s also some left up there all the time.  Also had a look at the waves, quite a few people out and pretty big so we kept going.  After a quick coffee at Elliston we continued to Coffin Bay, grabbed a local map, filled up with fresh water and re-stocked with beer and headed into the National Park.  We soon discovered that the esky fit perfectly in my passenger footwell, so with my knees under my chin we drove along the bumpy tracks enjoy a beer whenever we wanted without stopping!! Who needs fancy centre consol cooler boxes ;)  Checked out a few camp spots but as it was a public holiday it was super busy so we ended up at the far tip of Coffin Bay and found an awesome spot to camp at “The Pool”, there was only one other person camping there, we got a spot under a tree for shade and with enough space to string the hammock up J Once camp was set up we kept going to the end of the point to check out some fishing on the rocks… Once again we came up empty, Benny starting to not like South Oz from a fishing point of view!!  We were pretty gutted that we were missing the Triple J Hottest 100 cos we didn’t have any radio reception BUT we realized we had phone signal so started to stream it through the internet J Yeeey, dancing and singing on the rocks with no-one watching J …..We did start chatting to a couple from Port Lincoln that were fishing a bit further down though, they ended up sharing our camp spot for the night…
