Thurs 19th – The Never Ending Track

Managed to get up early’ish and also managed to find the track on to the next place! We didn’t want to have breakfast at the Point Culver campspot cos of the march flies, we’d packed everything up the night before when they were asleep so in the morning we left quickly.  We had breakfast / lunch at Toolina Cove which was ontop on some cliffs, Benny spotted a shark in the waves below.  We’d stocked the fridge with beer including some coopers the night before and one of the caps had come loose in the fridge from bouncing around on the track so we had to have one for lunch ;) ….kept going on the track, it was never straight, going round each and every tree and quite bumpy so progress was slow, we were entertained with some beers though J  In the last couple of days, from Seal Creek to the highway, we covered about 300km’s offroad, averaging about 30km/h and once hit 60km/h on one straight patch but only for about 5 seconds then there was another tree to wind around!!  The red arrow on the GPS was moving very slowly…. We hit the highway and the red arrow was flying along!  We camped at one of the road side camp spots, there were quite a few people there which probably explained our guests…  Benny was enjoying a glass of port and I was having a snooze in bed when he jumped and spilled the whole glass down his pants, there was a little mouse that had climbed up his leg!!  When we both got to bed heaps of mice came out to play, they weren’t shy either, you could feel them running along your pillow, onto your head and up and down your legs… we didn’t get a huge amount of sleep that night.
